Whoa! This summer has certainly kept us very busy. We are in the process of building a new home and between that and the kids’ camps, it’s been super crazy. Which is why I have been a little MIA. I apologize. But now we are back….woot woot! First line of business is telling you about an amazing tutu company that L and I love. We posted some pics on our IG account (@popkidspicks…are you following yet!?!?), but I wanted to tell you more about the company here.
Plum NYC is a wonderful local company that makes beautiful tutus. As you probably already know, L loves anything girly and absolutely anything with tulle. So it comes as no surprise that she is obsessed with these tutus. They are incredibly comfortable to wear. The “bodysuit” part of the tutu is very soft and has a lot of stretch. There are snaps at the bottom of the bodysuit so that it makes for easy bathroom breaks…you don’t have to get completely undressed! YAAY! And the tulle…it is the perfect weight and amount of tulle. Just the right amount of stiffness, but not too much that it overwhelms the rest of the tutu.
I think tutus are so versatile…and you know I love versatility when it comes to dressing the kids. I love getting a “tw0-fer” deal. It can look very ethereal or you can style to look a little tougher. I know some may think that tutus are for special occasions. I say no. It can be worn for any occasion! Whether it be going to the park, playing on the beach, or as a flower girl in a wedding. I hope this post has helped you find your go-to tutu brand!
